Day 4 reflections on how I will use they new tools

Background:
I 'm teaching a course focusing on surveillance of public health in Europe. The course basically aims at introducing the students to the most important European databases that are of important public health use. The students finally need to be expert in using these data bases nad be able to generate reports and present them using visual aid derived from these databases like generating tables and figures.One important challenge is that what is the best way that can be followed to best use each database.Most of the database does not show a demo that can best show how to use them
Since the first assignment in my course is an individuel assignment, wher each student need to present to the whole clöass one database criteria and how it work. So my idea is to use screencast tool. each student assignment is to develope a demo that last 15-20 minutes and presented to the gwhole class. I will introduce the student on how the program screen cast work and then they will practice that developing thier assignment work.they can post thier work later on on ping pong and link it the the database they assigned for.
I can develope diffrent demos over time,one for each database each time the course run,its possible to use different version to develope and updates the demo overtime,concurrenly with the updating of the database.
I thing the result will build more confidence for the student to use these data bases in addition they will feel that they are adding some thing to it

1)In fact, I got more than one idea.

2)Picasa program was very easy and seems very use friendly, for sure turning all red eys to black is great ,I thing I will fix many picture I have with such problem.Its alwas better to be familiaer on how to use free sofware that you can always teach students to also

3)I was looking forward to know about this tool, In my cours I have an individuel assignment, which I thing iis a straight forward example where i will use this.I nthing it can be used for small group work too

Wiki are they of help to education or not Day 2

1)In my education
Yes, I thing I can use wiki in my education, in our master program courses we have quit many group work, essentially we would like to use the students output, so that,they learn from each other, wiki in such case will be perfect opportunity to give wide space for every body to add his knowledge on a common subject, the group tasked to work on.
2)Wiki best advantage is that it allows unlimitted space and time for every body in the group to edite and participate, while the problem is that, to which extend you can control this edinting process and on which bases ?

3)If we would like to start wiki in our education; I thing we need to consider the regulation and formalities on which we are going to use this at the university level.In addition may be we need to evaluate that later onif its effective or not from student and teacher perspective

4)regarding whether or not should Ki start a learning environment using wiki. My opinion is for sure yes, this is arpidly evolving tool that many universities already using. It will be very good tool that many teachers and researcher can add on each other work

Its not that complicated but need to be practiced
